A deeply disturbing incident of animal cruelty surfaced from Greater Noida’s Dadha village, where a man was caught on camera dragging a dog behind an autorickshaw. The viral video, which began circulating widely on May 12, shows the helpless stray dog tied to the back of a moving vehicle. At first, the dog is seen trying to keep pace, but soon collapses and gets dragged across the road.
Immediate Police Action
The video triggered widespread outrage, prompting swift action by the Uttar Pradesh Police. Officers from the Kasna Police Station registered a case under relevant sections of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act and arrested the accused, identified as Nitin, a resident of Dhada village.

Kasna Police confirmed the arrest on social media, stating, “A case has been registered, and the accused has been taken into custody. Legal proceedings are underway.”
