Lap Dance, Kisses & Inappropriate Acts: BJP Leader Baban Singh in Viral Video Storm | Watch

In another scandal that has rocked the political scene in Uttar Pradesh, BJP MLA Baban Singh Raghuvanshi from Ballia has landed in severe trouble after a video was made public in which a young girl danced suggestively on his lap. While Baban Singh has been projecting himself as a champion of conservative “sanskari” culture for long, the material of the video provides a glaring contradiction.

The clip, which went viral on social media, has attracted stern condemnation from all sides. Opposition politicians did not hesitate to denounce the seeming hypocrisy, while netizens inundated sites with memes and scathing remarks. More significantly, the incident has led to a wider debate on the responsibility of public figures, particularly those who present themselves as having high moral standards.

Baban Raghuvanshi, however, called the video “fake” and accused it of being part of a grand conspiracy to discredit him. He has called for a forensic investigation to confirm the video’s authenticity. “This is a doctored video intended to tarnish my image,” he alleged. But even as he made these claims, onlookers were quick to point out the consistency and clarity in the visuals, questioning the defense.

Public Trust Erodes Amid Growing Disconnect

This incident is not just about one video or one leader—it reflects a larger issue of trust and credibility. As politicians increasingly use cultural rhetoric to influence public sentiment, any discrepancy between their public declarations and private behavior is met with intensified backlash. The response to Raghuvanshi’s video is a testament to this growing intolerance for double standards.

Furthermore, the more social media becomes an open-air courtroom of public opinion, the higher the price of moral posturing without consequence. Such events harm not just the reputation of individuals but also the public’s trust in political institutions.

Unless public leaders couple their behavior with their public persona, the gap will only widen, spurring cynicism and weakening democracy itself.
