Kim Kardashian Completes Law Apprenticeship, Moves Closer to Becoming a Lawyer

Kim Kardashian has reportedly completed her law internship after 6 years, which takes her further into the journey to become a lawyer, as she announced on Instagram on Wednesday with a celebration video with her children and her sister Khloe Kardashian. The announcement has received a mixed reaction from the people on social media. “I finally graduated law school after six years!!!” she wrote over a video of her putting on a graduation cap on stage

Has Not Graduated Law School

To clarify, Kim Kardashian has not graduated from law school, and she can not practice law yet. She has cleared the ‘baby bar’ exam, designed for people pursuing law through unconventional methods, and the Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE). She has completed California’s Law Office Study Program, which allows individuals to skip law school and work under a supervising attorney at a law office. She posted on X saying: “OMFGGGG I PASSED THE BABY BAR EXAM!!!! Looking in the mirror, I am really proud of the woman looking back today in the reflection. For anyone who doesn’t know my law school journey, know this wasn’t easy or handed to me.”

Inspired By Father’s Legacy

In 2019, Kim Kardashian mentioned her interest in becoming a lawyer, following in the footsteps of her late father, noted lawyer Robert Kardashian Sr. While she has yet to take the formal bar exam, Kim has been involved in the legal profession, especially criminal justice reform, and she has recently joined teams of lawyers and organizations to advocate for and work to obtain sentence reductions/commutations from prisons for a few prisoners. Moreover, Kim has received a lot of media attention and praise for helping to remove incarcerated individuals from perilous or consequential situations, showing she is increasingly committed to serving others through social justice and legal advocacy.

Nonetheless, Kim’s feat is highly impressive as she continues to manage long hours of studies, her family, and her businesses while appearing on the hit reality TV show around her family called ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians.’
