Japanese Man Detained For Bombarding Wife With Over 100 Calls Daily

Neglecting a partner can lead to relationship issues, but excessive care can also create problems, especially when it crosses certain boundaries. A Japanese man experienced this issue when he called his wife around 100 times a day. When she didn’t answer, he would call from unknown numbers, leading to her frustration and concern.

According to reports, a 38-year-old man in Amagasaki, Japan, repeatedly called his wife, hanging up each time she answered. This behavior continued for weeks, leading the woman to suspect something was wrong. She noticed that the calls only came when she was not at home or not using her husband’s phone, increasing her suspicion.

Eventually, she reported the strange calls to the police, sharing her suspicions about her husband. The investigation revealed that he was indeed the caller. On September 4, he was arrested for violating Japan’s anti-stalking laws.

When questioned about his actions, he explained that he called his wife so many times because he loved her. This case is reportedly the first of its kind in Amagasaki, where a husband was found guilty of stalking his wife.
