Investigation Underway As Pilots Accused Of Recording Couple’s Intimate Moments On Flight

A video depicting a couple participating in sexual activity on a Swiss Air flight has ignited outrage on social media, prompting an internal investigation by the airline. The recording, captured by cockpit-controlled security cameras on Flight 181 from Bangkok to Zurich in November, features the couple in the aircraft’s galley.

A post on the social media platform X shared a blurred image of the event, claiming that the couple secretly filmed by the pilots had become members of the mile-high club. The post additionally disclosed that the cockpit crew is being investigated for disseminating the footage in group chats, which subsequently gained widespread attention.

Swiss Air has launched an inquiry into the breaches of privacy, with a spokesperson denouncing the crew’s behavior. “The filming of individuals without their explicit consent and the distribution of these recordings contravene our guidelines and data protection laws,” stated Meike Fuhlrott, the airline’s media representative.

Fuhlrott mentioned that the crew should have taken action upon noticing the couple rather than recording them. The sexual act was reportedly documented by a live-feed camera situated above the cockpit door, utilized for security reasons following the 9/11 hijackings. It is believed that another device captured the occurrence, with commentary audible in the footage.

The airline denounced the viral video and the sarcastic commentary, labeling them as “disrespectful” to passengers.
