Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri caught conference goers in Mumbai off guard when he joined Indian influencers for a spontaneous dance break at Meta’s India office. The event was designed to drive deeper interaction between Instagram leadership and the Indian creator community, then took a spontaneous turn when Mosseri broke into a crowd dance to Bollywood hit ‘Jhumka Gira Re’ from Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which originally starred Alia Bhatt.
Mosseri initially watched the dance moves before joining in and syncing with the rhythm, receiving applause from the creators in attendance. Content creator Cyrus Dhabhar shared the moment, praising Mosseri’s spontaneity and good spirit. In his post, Dhabhar wrote: “Spent the morning with @instagram’s big chief – @mosseri at the @meta offices in Bombay! Little did he know what he had in store – but the man learns fast and bust a move! I honestly adore these creator conferences – it makes you encounter people you’d never actually meet.

The dance video of Mosseri became viral with people appreciating his friendly nature and openness to embracing Indian pop culture. People responded humorously, with one saying, “Loved having you with us!” and another making a joke saying, “Recession is really coming.”
Earlier during the week, during the Waves Summit 2025, Bollywood star Shraddha Kapoor made a touching gesture as she offered a plate of old Maharashtrian sweet Puran Poli to Mosseri. This moment soon became viral, even more winning the Meta chief over to fans.
Taking the stage, Shraddha had the audience and Mosseri convinced as she introduced him to the dish, saying, “You’ve been eating at expensive restaurants, but I want you to eat this Maharashtrian sweet Puran Poli—it is made at home.” The sweet dish, made using lentils and jaggery, is a Maharashtrian favorite and a symbol of the warm cultural connection between the actress and the tech boss.
