A 40-year-old man from Indore, Madhya Pradesh, attempted suicide by consuming poison after accusing his wife of having an extramarital affair with a local gym trainer. The incident took place on Wednesday evening in the Aerodrome area and has sparked public attention after a video and a suicide note surfaced online.
Video, Suicide Note Blame Wife and Her Alleged Lover
The man, identified as Dinesh Mishra, son of a retired police officer, recorded a distressing video and left behind a four-page suicide note before attempting to end his life. He alleged that his wife was involved in a relationship with Mohammad Maqsood Khan, a gym trainer in Indore. In the note, Dinesh claimed their relationship started after his wife joined Khan’s gym.

“My family is ruined because of Maqsood Khan,” he wrote, further alleging that Khan concealed his religious identity to get close to his wife, which he termed as an act of “Love Jihad.”
Dinesh also claimed to possess evidence including late-night phone calls, financial transactions, and video recordings of his wife leaving the house at odd hours and video chatting with Khan.
Police Begin Probe, Verify Ignored Complaints
Though Dinesh survived after receiving timely medical care, the matter is now under investigation. The Aerodrome police confirmed receiving previous complaints from him and are reviewing the actions taken by the officers involved.
“The suicide note and the video have been seized as part of the investigation,” police officials said, adding that senior officers are recording statements and examining the evidence.
