A video showing a groom filming his Suhagrat (wedding night) with his bride has taken social media by storm, sparking a mix of amusement, criticism, and emotional reactions. The clip, which has amassed over 4.7 million views and 187,000 likes within just three days, deviates sharply from conventional wedding videos.
The man in the video, identified as Sajjad Chowdhury, is seen capturing intimate footage of his newlywed wife lying on the bed. When she questions him—“Will you show personal things to people as well?”, Sajjad responds lovingly, “I have such a beautiful wife, then why will I not show people how beautiful a wife I have got?”

In Bengali, Sajjad is heard proudly appreciating his bride’s appearance, saying, “Colour does not matter. Just love from your heart…” The moment takes a humorous turn when the room’s lights go off, prompting Sajjad to quip, “I become invisible, but my wife remains visible.” He adds, “I have married such a beautiful girl. It doesn’t matter whether you can see me or not, but if my wife is with me, I will burn in her light. Bye everyone. Love, marry, and be happy.”
Online users were quick to react. Comments ranged from sarcastic digs to jokes about appearance. Rakesh Patra remarked, “Brother, only your face is dark, our whole life is.” Sabir commented, “Why are you torturing us by sharing such videos?” and Babar Mehrab added, “Black magic truly exists—today it’s been proven.”
Others continued the banter. Ritisha De Sarkar wrote, “Colour doesn’t matter, money does.” Abrar said, “I didn’t understand the language, but the gestures made everything clear.” Animesh Mukherjee joked, “Brother, all I can see are your teeth,” while Rishi Bagri added, “First wipe off her makeup, then we can compare properly.”
Sajjad’s profile indicates he is an actor who often features with the same woman in his content. However, News18 Hindi noted that the authenticity of the viral video remains unverified.
Despite the doubts, the video has triggered a wider conversation on beauty standards, colourism, and privacy in the digital age.
