“Was the Sangam bath just for show?”: Gautam Adani’s Visit to Ajmer Sharif Dargah Ignites Social Media Buzz

Billionaire Gautam Adani visited Ajmer Sharif Dargah in Rajasthan and shared pictures from his visit, writing, “Prayers for blessings and safety for all.”

The shrine is the final resting place of Islamic mystic Mu’in al-Din Chishti, also known as Khwaja Garib Nawaz.

Adani was accompanied by his wife, Priti Adani, during his visit on February 15. After he posted the photos, social media users reacted to them.

One social media user reacted to the visit, stating, “Some people were talking about digging up this very Ajmer Sharif Dargah. Perhaps they are the same people who do not truly understand their own religion. Our Hindu faith teaches us to respect all religions.”

Another user agreed, posting, “Absolutely! God is one. Respect all religions.”

“This is the DIVINE place where all powers are bow down,” commented one user, while another wrote, “Only those come to Ajmer whom Khwaja calls.”

However, many other comments expressed dissatisfaction.

One user wrote, “Shame on you, the reason why Narendra Modi given your border area is now revealed.”

Another user commented, “Why, have you lost faith in Sanatan, or was the Sangam bath just for show? Why do we need to keep jumping from one tree to another like a langur? You will always remain a non-believer. If we pray, we will do so in our own way and to our own gods and goddesses.”

Criticizing the act, one user posted, “4 Vedas, 6 Shastras, 18 Puranas, 60 Niti Shastras, 108 Upanishads; even after all this, if you still worship Peers, Fakirs and Mazars, then your slavery was justified and will remain so.”

Another user remarked, “Just imagine if it was Rahul Gandhi or Akhilesh Yadav or Mamata Banarjee. Bhakts would be assuming them in reply section. BJP would be holding press conference to prove them Muslim appeasement leaders.”
