Footage Reveals Food Delivery Partner Stealing Shoes, Sparks Controversy

A video posted on X has sparked a heated debate after capturing a Swiggy delivery partner in the act of theft. The CCTV footage, recorded in a residential building, shows the delivery person descending the stairs after making a delivery. Upon reaching the entrance, he stops at a shoe rack, looks around, and then inspects the shoes displayed. The footage shows him picking up and taking a pair of shoes before leaving the scene.

The video has garnered mixed reactions online. Some viewers showed empathy, suggesting the man might have been in dire need of shoes and that the theft might not significantly impact the owner. One user commented, “It could be that this poor guy is very needy and really needs a pair of shoes, and maybe it won’t make a difference to the owner. But stealing is not good. Maybe he thought that if he asked for the shoes, the owner would refuse, so that’s why he decided to steal, perhaps.”

Others speculated about the prevalence of such incidents, with another user noting, “This is very common I have heard many stories where Swiggy Zomato delivery boys come for food delivery and sometimes they steal away taps, gas cylinders.”

One observer remarked, “CCTV camera is watching you… but due to the helmet, couldn’t see his face.” Another added, “The CCTV camera helped well in finding the culprit.”
