Amid escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border, a video has gone viral on social media showing two men posing with an unexploded missile that reportedly landed near the Line of Control (LoC) in Punjab. The alarming footage shows the men treating the dangerous device as a prop, clicking selfies, making jokes, and even singing songs near the weapon.
The video, shared by journalist Gagandeep Singh, came with a warning in Punjabi: “ਬੇਨਤੀ ਹੈ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਇਹੋ ਜਿਹੀ ਧਮਾਕੇਖੇਜ ਸਮੱਗਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਹੱਥ ‘ਚ ਨਾਂ ਫੜੋ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਾਨੀ ਨੁਕਸਾਨ ਹੋ ਸਕਦਾ ਹੈ,” which translates to, “Kindly refrain from touching any such explosive materials as it could lead to loss of life.”
In the clip, one man is seen holding the missile upright in a field while the other attempts to lift it in his arms. Their casual behavior, including laughter and light-hearted singing, has raised concerns among authorities and netizens alike. Despite the grave danger, the duo urged each other to pose next to the unexploded ordnance, treating the incident as an opportunity for entertainment.

The missile is believed to have landed during the recent exchange of fire and drone intrusions along the LoC. Authorities have not confirmed the make or origin of the weapon, but warnings have been issued across border villages advising residents not to approach or touch any suspicious debris or objects.
Social media users flooded the comment section, with some mocking the duo’s behavior—“Punjabis being Punjabis,” wrote one user. However, others expressed serious concern, urging people not to joke with potential live explosives. “Keep the fun aside. This is dangerous. Please don’t play with lives,” commented another viewer.
Officials continue to monitor the situation along the LoC as cross-border hostilities persist. Residents are strongly advised to report any such sightings immediately to local authorities.
