Elon Musk recently updated his X (formerly Twitter) profile bio to ‘White House Tech Support’. This is in the wake of growing criticism about the Department of Government Efficiency, a tech-focused task force led by Musk. DOGE has been criticized for its growing influence on federal policies as it works on modernizing and improving government operations using advanced technology.
Musk has caused a stir in the past with name changes and profile pictures. Last month, he changed his name to ‘Kekius Maximus’ and set ‘Pepe the Frog’ as his profile picture. In a bio, DOGE says it reportedly accessed Treasury’s sensitive data Thursday and has ‘taxpayer information’.
The issue was responded to by Musk. He said, “Hysterical reactions like this is how you know that @DOGE is doing work that really matters. This is the one shot the American people have to defeat BUREAUcracy, rule of the bureaucrats, and restore DEMOcracy, rule of the people. We’re never going to get another chance like this.” He then added, “It’s now or never. Your support is crucial to the success of the revolution of the people.
