A video from Raipur area of Dehradun has gone viral, showing a woman sitting in the middle of a busy road and causing a traffic snarl. According to several users on X (formerly Twitter), the woman was allegedly intoxicated during the incident, sparking serious concerns over road safety.
Viral Video Shows Traffic Obstruction
In the clip, the woman, wearing a black sleeveless top and denim jeans, was seen seated on the road amid ongoing traffic. She appeared to be adjusting her slipper, leaning slightly forward while vehicles continued to pass by from nearby lanes. A car can be seen waiting behind her, unable to proceed. Despite persistent honking from vehicles around her, the woman didn’t leave her spot.

Security Guards Intervene
Shortly after, two security guards along with other passersby intervened and helped the woman walk towards the side of the road, clearing the way for traffic to resume.
The video has now been widely shared across social media platforms. However, as of Monday morning, there have been no reports of police intervention or official statement regarding the matter.
Similar Incident in Haridwar
A comparable incident took place earlier this year in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, where a woman, also allegedly under the influence of alcohol, was seen disrupting traffic near the Har Ki Pauri area. Dressed in a salwar kameez, she reportedly attempted to jump into an auto rickshaw as cars passed by.
