Divorced Woman Duped Of Rs 6 Lakh Over 11 Months By Tantrik’s Demands

Shocking news has emerged from Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where a divorced woman has been swindled out of ₹6,08,000 after falling victim to a tantrik’s deception.

The tantrik promised the woman that he could help her regain custody of her son, who has been living with her ex-husband since their divorce. Instead of seeking legal assistance, the woman decided to consult a tantrik.

The trouble began when she found the tantrik’s number on social media and reached out to him. After listening to her story, he assured her he could resolve her issue, but she needed to pay an initial sum of ₹5,500. The tantrik then manipulated the situation to extort a total of ₹6,08,000 from her. When the woman finally realized she had been conned, she sought police help.

She claimed that the self-proclaimed Baba and his associates coerced her into selling her jewelry and demanding more money under various pretenses. Based on her complaint, the Patel Nagar police have registered a case and launched an investigation.

Inspector reported that the FIR was filed on behalf of 37-year-old Swati Agarwal, who, deeply attached to her son, sought assistance from a social media page called Radheshyam Baba. After contacting him online and speaking over the phone, she fell into his trap, initially paying ₹5,500 and later handing over a total of ₹6.08 lakh. The police are currently working to locate the accused Baba, and an arrest is expected soon.
