Diljit Dosanjh Fans Leave A Mess Behind: Stadium In Ruins, Athletes Outraged! | WATCH

After the recent Diljit Dosanjh concert at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 26 and 27, the venue was left in chaos, with garbage and alcohol bottles littering the area. Middle-distance runner Beant Singh shared a video on Instagram, expressing his outrage over the mess that disrupted athletes’ training facilities. Singh claimed that the debris would hinder athletes’ access to the stadium for up to 10 days, causing significant inconvenience.

Singh voiced his concerns in an interview with India Today, emphasizing that his grievances were directed toward the event organizers, not the performer. He lamented the disrespect shown to athletes, stating, “Budding athletes practice here, but people partied with alcohol and danced in this space.” He pointed out the damage to essential training equipment and highlighted the broader issue of inadequate support for Indian athletes, questioning why the country struggles to secure Olympic medals when such neglect persists.

As the cleanup process unfolds, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has mandated that the stadium be restored by November 1, following an agreement with event organizer Saregama India. With around 70,000 attendees over the two days, cleaning is expected to be completed by October 29. Meanwhile, fans have also raised concerns about ticketing issues, including allegations of scalping that inflated resale prices, leading a Delhi law student to file a legal notice against the organizers.
