Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ federal trial got an unexpected turn on Tuesday when his ex-assistant took the stand to tell about the rapper’s daily drug use, including ecstasy pills featuring former President Barack Obama’s face.

David James, who spent two years working with Combs, informed the court that the rapper used to take a variety of pills regularly. “There were different pills,” he explained. “But one was in the face of a former president.” CNN reports James further stating that Combs used to carry 25 to 30 bottles of pills at a time, such as Tylenol, Viagra, water pills, Percocet, and ecstasy.

While the pills themselves are not rated illegal, the strange fact that they looked like Obama created a social media storm.

“Nothing to see here. Just Ecstasy Pills in the form of former President Obama’s FACE!” posted one user on X.

“This is the first I’ve heard of it, but Obama-shaped ecstasy pills have apparently been around for a while,” said another user.

A third said, “I am fine with these monsters. I don’t like diddy or obama, but who cares if he had ecstasy pills shaped like obama? It is nothing. These manufacturers of tried and tested party drugs do this with every kind of theme and gimmicks. It’s no gotcha.”

Combs, who has been in detention since last September 2024, is charged with some serious offenses, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and transporting persons for prostitution.

The trial continues with additional testimony by main witnesses to be heard later this week.
