Delhi Lawyer’s Thread Reveals Amazon Delivery Nightmare: ‘Worst Experience’ With iPhone 15 Order

A Delhi lawyer shared his troubling experience with an Amazon delivery on X (formerly Twitter), detailing issues with his recent iPhone 15 order. Mukund P Unny, a Supreme Court advocate, recounted ordering an iPhone 15 on Amazon in July, trading in his iPhone 13. The next night, a delivery executive arrived with the new phone. Unny provided the OTP as required for the exchange, but the delivery agent claimed another OTP was needed.

Unny, confused and without an additional OTP, informed the delivery agent and waited while the agent called his supervisor. The supervisor then requested Unny return the iPhone 15, stating that the exchange had not been completed.

Unny insisted on speaking with the supervisor, who explained that the exchange was handled by a different team and asked for the phone’s return. Unny, seeing that the Amazon app confirmed delivery, was reluctant to return the phone. Despite this, the delivery agent took back the iPhone 15 after being told that delivery would be “reattempted” the next day.

The following day, Amazon customer service advised Unny to wait until the end of the month for an investigation. Unny later received a call stating that the refund could not be processed. “No fact-finding was done by Amazon in this. Now, we are staring at a loss of Rs. 38000 and a possible scam done by supervisor, delivery executive and others at Amazon,” he said.

On the same day, Unny was contacted by the delivery agent’s supervisor, who allegedly instructed him to visit a specific location to hand over his current iPhone for processing, with a promise of the new phone’s delivery in 24 hours. “The phone will be taken and processed and 24 hours later they’ll deliver the new product. Scam?” Unny questioned.

Amazon’s customer care account on X, Amazon Help, responded to Unny’s thread, requesting he send details via direct message for further assistance. “Sorry to learn about the issue with the refund of the order. We’d like to help you with this. Please reach out to us via DM, and we’ll do our best to assist. Further, please don’t include any personal or account information,” Amazon Help stated.
