Day 5: SRK’s Film ‘Jawan’ Smashes Records, Crosses Rs 300 Cr

Jawan, directed by Atlee and debuting debut in Hindi cinema as an action thriller produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma under Red Chillies Entertainment, has entered the Rs 300 crore club at the domestic box office collection fifth days after its release.
Jawan features Shah Rukh Khan in a dual role as father and son who join forces to combat corruption in Indian society. Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi are also in the lead roles. It also has special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt. The film also stars Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, Aaliyah Qureshi, Ridhi Dogra, and Sunil Grover. Bollywood superstar SRK’s latest film, Jawan, hit theatres last week in three different languages Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu and has taken the box office by storm, shattering all records and setting new milestones.
The action-packed vigilante thriller, which hit theatres on 7 September, stormed the opening day with a collection of Rs 75 crore across India. With this latest surge in earnings, the film’s total collection in India after its first weekend stood at Rs 287.06 crore. With an estimated Rs 30 crore collection, the movie is all set to breach the Rs 300 crore mark on its fifth day.
So far, Jawan earned Rs 75 crore (Hindi: Rs 65.5 crore, Tamil: Rs 5.5crore, and Telugu: Rs 4 crore) on day one; Rs 53.23 crore (Hindi: Rs 46.23 crore, Tamil: Rs 3.87 crore, Telugu: Rs 3.13 crore) on day two; Rs 77.83 crore (Hindi: Rs 68.72 crore, Tamil: Rs 5.34 crore, Telugu: Rs 3.77 crore) on day three; and Rs 80.1 crore (Hindi: Rs 71.63 crore; Tamil: Rs 5 crore; Telugu: Rs 3.47 crore) on day four. So far the total collection of the film in India is Rs 316.16 crore.
Reacting to fans› positive response after watching Jawan, Shah Rukh Khan shared a note on X. He wrote, “Thank you for all the love and appreciation for Jawan! Stay safe and happy. Please keep sending in the pictures and videos of all of you enjoying the movies. And I will be back soon to see all of them! Until then… Party with Jawan in the theatres! Lots of love and gratitude!” Jawan box office collection worldwide earned Rs 520.79 crore gross at its first weekend.
