The Khaki-colored T-shirt and cargo pants have been distributed to constables in select areas of Delhi as part of a trial, according to another officer. Senior police officials stated that the Delhi Police may update the uniform for personnel from the rank of Inspector to Constable, potentially switching to cargo pants and T-shirts.
Sources within police headquarters mentioned that this change is being considered due to Delhi’s weather conditions. An officer explained, “The change is in the planning stage and nothing has been finalised so far…it will, in all probability, get changed but the Khaki colour will remain.”
During the summer, staff would receive cargo pants and T-shirts, while in winter, they would be provided with woolen shirts and pants along with high-quality warmers. Another officer added, “The cargo pants are being considered as they can carry multiple articles such as diaries, mobile phone and ammunition, etc.”
The Khaki-colored T-shirt and cargo pants have already been distributed to constables in select areas of Delhi as part of a trial, according to another officer.
