Eyewitnesses claimed that nearly 10–12 vehicles were stopped at the Bhanpur Crossing when the bus approached at high speed. The driver was heard yelling, “Move apart, move apart,” just before the collision. Despite the warnings, he failed to halt the vehicle in time.

Doctor Dragged for 50 Feet Before Death

The victim was identified as Ayesha Khan, a BAMS doctor from Mulla Colony who was doing her internship at JP Hospital. She was returning home when the fatal incident occurred.

Video footage from the scene shows stationary vehicles at the red light when the school bus suddenly rammed into them. Ayesha, seated on a scooter, was hit directly and got lodged in the front section of the bus. She was dragged for nearly 50 feet before the scooter was thrown out. Tragically, Ayesha came under the front wheel and died on the spot.

Driver on the Run, Probe Underway

Following the accident, the bus driver reportedly abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene. The injured victims were taken to nearby hospitals, with two currently in critical condition.

“We have launched a search operation for the driver and are inspecting the bus to determine if there was a mechanical failure,” said TI Arajaria.
