A wedding in Karnataka’s Hassan district turned into a dramatic spectacle after the bride, identified as Pallavi, refused to marry the groom at the last moment, confessing that she was in love with someone else. The incident occurred at Sri Adichunchanagiri Kalyana Mantapa, and videos of the emotional drama have now gone viral on social media.
Just as Venugopal G, a government school teacher and the groom, was about to tie the mangalsutra, Pallavi reportedly admitted in front of everyone that she could not go ahead with the marriage as she loved another man. The confession halted the wedding in its final stage, leaving guests stunned.

Bride Escorted Out Under Police Protection
In one of the viral clips, Venugopal is seen trying to talk to Pallavi while holding the mangalsutra, with their families gathered around them on stage. In another video, Pallavi is seen walking out of the venue, her face covered, while holding hands with her boyfriend. He escorted her to a waiting car outside, and the two drove away from the venue together.
Pallavi, who holds a postgraduate degree, was later escorted by police for her protection as tensions rose among attendees. The ceremony, which had drawn hundreds of guests from both sides, was abruptly called off.
