Frida, a well-known baby brand in the US, has sparked widespread curiosity with its latest launch—breast milk-flavored ice cream. This bold creation celebrates the debut of Frida Mom’s 2-in-1 Manual Breast Pump, aiming to capture the taste of breast milk without using any actual human milk.

A Unique Flavor with Nutrient-Rich Ingredients

Frida claims the ice cream delivers a “pitch-perfect representation of the sweet, creamy, and nutrient-packed goodness” of breast milk. To replicate its signature taste, the company developed a formula with a nutty, sweet flavor and a hint of salt. Since the FDA does not approve human milk for commercial food products, Frida used alternative ingredients while ensuring the ice cream is enriched with essential nutrients like Omega-3 fats, lactose, iron, calcium, Vitamin B, Vitamin D, and zinc.

Breast Milk Curiosity: A Growing Trend?

The fascination with breast milk isn’t new. According to research cited by Frida, 70% of women have tasted their breast milk at least once, while 29% of men are curious about its flavor. Celebrities have also joined the conversation. Kourtney Kardashian and Ashley Graham have admitted to trying their breast milk, with Graham stating she has done so multiple times. Recently, Bravo star Paige DeSorbo shared that she tasted castmate Lindsay Hubbard’s breast milk and even preferred it over other kinds of milk.

Social Media Reactions and Launch Details

Frida’s announcement has triggered mixed reactions online. While some people expressed enthusiasm, others were skeptical. One excited user commented, “I’m excited about this.” Another added, “Okay wait, I’m most likely done having kids but this sounds like a solid post-workout treat!”

Another user related to the concept, saying, “11 weeks with my 2nd and I’m craving milkshakes just like with my first soooo yes I’ll take it!” Some even claimed they have already experimented with homemade versions, with one comment reading, “I’ve been making ice cream from my breast milk for a while now, it’s yummy!”

Frida’s new product won’t be available right away. The company announced that, just like a pregnancy, the product will take nine months to hit the shelves. Interested buyers can sign up on Frida’s website for launch updates.

Not the First Breast Milk Ice Cream to Make Headlines

This isn’t the first time breast milk-inspired ice cream has gained attention. In 2011, a London ice cream shop introduced a flavor called Baby Gaga, made with donated breast milk. However, authorities later pulled the product due to safety concerns.

As Frida’s unconventional ice cream prepares to make its debut, the conversation around breast milk’s taste and potential in the food industry continues to grow.
