BookMyShow’s website and app experienced a crash right after ticket sales opened for Coldplay’s highly anticipated India 2025 concert at 12 pm IST.
This will mark Coldplay’s return to India after a nine-year hiatus, with their last performance in 2016. The band is set to perform at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium on January 18 and 19, 2025.
Frustrated fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their displeasure over the technical difficulties. One user tweeted, “Dear @bookmyshow, if you get exclusive rights to sell a concert, at least be prepared for it. #Coldplayindia #Coldplay.”
Another user commented, “Yeah… I don’t think anyone is getting those Coldplay tickets in India… You tried, BookMyShow. Were you able to?”

BookMyShow had announced shortly before the ticket sale that each person could only purchase a maximum of four tickets, down from the previous limit of eight.
Ticket prices vary, with options at ₹3,500, ₹4,000, ₹4,500, ₹9,000, and ₹12,500. Standing floor tickets are priced at ₹6,450, while lounge tickets go for ₹35,000.
