A 23-year-old bodybuilder is under fire after a video of him performing push-ups in front of a moving plane engine went viral on social media. The footage, which was recorded last year but shared recently, quickly garnered millions of views on TikTok before being removed for violating the platform’s community guidelines.

A Stunt Gone Viral

The video, which has since spread to other social media platforms, shows Preslie Ginoski climbing onto a parked plane engine. The bodybuilder proceeds to perform push-ups while flexing his muscles in front of the engine. While the plane was stationary, the footage made it appear as though the engine was operating, leading to widespread concerns about the stunt’s safety.

Bodybuilder Defends His Actions

In an interview with Daily Mail, Ginoski defended his actions, explaining that he wanted to entertain viewers with a humorous video. “I just wanted people to get a laugh about it,” he said. He clarified that the plane was parked and not in motion until the following day. Ginoski also explained that the apparent movement of the engine was due to wind, insisting that the stunt was completely safe.

He further justified the stunt by stating that it was common for flight attendants and pilots to sit near the engines for photos, suggesting that such interactions were safe when conducted properly. “It’s very common for people to sit inside the jet engine if it is cleared and safe to do so,” he added.

Social Media Reacts with Criticism

Despite Ginoski’s defense, social media users were quick to criticize the dangerous stunt. “Stupid move. It wouldn’t take much for that engine to turn him into mince meat,” one user wrote. Another commented, “What could possibly go wrong?” Others expressed concerns about the increasing number of reckless stunts being shared online, with one user questioning, “Wonder why more people are dying young? Moronic decisions like these.”

Authorities Respond to the Incident

The stunt took place while Ginoski was employed at an airport. After leaving his position, he decided to share the footage of the risky stunt on social media. The incident prompted a response from the Australian airport where it occurred. A spokesperson for Sydney Airport issued a statement emphasizing their commitment to safety. “Sydney Airport has zero tolerance for unsafe behavior on the airfield, and we take all reports of potential safety breaches extremely seriously,” the representative said.

While Ginoski maintains that the stunt was harmless and done in good fun, it has sparked a wider conversation about the growing trend of dangerous challenges shared online. Despite his defense, many remain concerned about the potential risks of such behavior, both for the individual involved and for public safety.
