Biggest Secret Revealed: Trump Family’s Secret Crypto Deal With Munir Before Operation Sindoor

A crypto agreement involving Pakistan and a company linked to former US President Donald Trump’s family has triggered diplomatic and intelligence-level concerns, especially in light of the recent terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam and India’s subsequent response through Operation Sindoor. Authorities in New Delhi and Washington have launched separate investigations into the matter.

Trump Family-Linked Firm at the Centre

According to NDTV, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in April 2025 between World Liberty Financial (WLF), a US-based cryptocurrency and DeFi firm, and Pakistan’s newly established Crypto Council. WLF was founded in 2024 and is reportedly owned 60% by Donald Trump’s sons, Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr. and his son-in-law Jared Kushner.

“Worse Than Coincidence”: India Eyes Suspicious Timing

The deal was inked during a highly sensitive period, just after the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack and while India was executing cross-border strikes under Operation Sindoor to dismantle terror networks in Pakistan. This overlapping timeline has intensified concerns over the motive and background of the crypto pact.

Delegation Meets Pak Leadership in Secretive Setting

WLF co-founder Zachary Witkoff reportedly led a US delegation to Islamabad, where they held meetings with Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif and Army Chief Asim Munir. The Trump family’s company’s deep involvement in the deal, combined with the hush-hush nature of the meetings, has only added to the controversy.

Ethical & Political Storm Brews in Washington

The Trump family’s direct stake in WLF is now under intense scrutiny from ethics watchdogs and political figures in the United States. The convergence of political figures, a major terror-linked timeline, and an international financial agreement is raising difficult questions for all parties involved.

Global Implications of the Crypto Pact

Though the MoU is positioned as a step to boost blockchain adoption and digital finance in Pakistan, the deal’s geopolitical implications are far more complex. Analysts believe it could have wider ramifications for South Asia’s stability and US foreign policy. As investigations proceed, both India and the US are expected to demand more transparency regarding the intent, funding, and security dimensions of the deal.
