Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal witnessed a grand celebration of women’s empowerment on Friday through a state-level bike rally titled ‘Ahilya Vahini.’ Chief Minister Mohan Yadav flagged off the event from Shaurya Smarak, marking it as a significant stride towards acknowledging women’s strength and societal transformation.

Addressing the rally, CM Yadav said, “In Sanatan culture, women have always been given the highest respect. This rally is not just an event, but a symbol of women’s strength, self-reliance, and changing social mindset.” He also appreciated the efforts of the police, the sports department, and all supporting organisations for ensuring the rally’s success.

Route and Participation

The bike rally passed through several key landmarks in the city New Market, Roshanpura, Jawahar Chowk, Atal Path, Platinum Plaza Square, and Vyapam Square, before concluding back at Shaurya Smarak. Notable attendees at the event included Sports Minister Vishwas Sarang, MSME Minister Chaitanya Kashyap, Backward Class and Minority Welfare Minister Krishna Gaur, and MP Alok Sharma.

PM Modi to Visit Bhopal on May 31

Madhya Pradesh BJP President VD Sharma announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Bhopal on May 31, where he will engage in a special interaction with women. This event will celebrate the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a mission dedicated to ensuring women’s safety and empowerment.

VD Sharma added that the state is witnessing various programmes commemorating the birth anniversary of Devi Ahilyabai Holkar, with large-scale participation expected from school children, police personnel, and citizens across social strata.
