The family of Shubham Dwivedi, one of the 26 civilians killed in the brutal Pahalgam terror attack, has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following India’s retaliatory airstrikes under Operation Sindoor. The operation targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), believed to be hideouts of Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammed, and Hizbul Mujahideen.
Shubham’s wife, deeply moved by the Indian government’s swift military response, said the action was a true tribute to her late husband. “I want to thank PM Modi for taking revenge for my husband’s death. My entire family had trust in him, and the way he replied (to Pakistan), he has kept our trust alive,” she said. “Wherever my husband is, he will be at peace today.”

Operation Sindoor was launched after the April 22 terrorist ambush at Baisaran Valley in Jammu and Kashmir, which left 26 people, including tourists, dead. The Indian defence establishment confirmed that the strikes were focused, measured, and avoided escalation, while successfully eliminating key terror hideouts — including the headquarters of Lashkar-e-Taiba.
Shubham’s father, Sanjay Dwivedi, also voiced his support for the military action. “I thank PM Modi for this retaliatory action,” he said, adding that while the pain of losing his son is still raw, the strike has brought some comfort to his grieving heart.
Reactions from across the country have poured in since the operation, with citizens and political leaders praising the Indian armed forces. Social media remains abuzz with messages of solidarity and appreciation for the government’s firm stance against terrorism.
