A video clip from a Pakistani news broadcast has gone viral online, leaving viewers stunned and amused. In the footage, a female news anchor from a Pakistani channel boldly claims that the country’s hackers have managed to disrupt 70% of India’s electricity grid. The claim, however, has triggered a wave of disbelief and mockery across social media platforms.

In the video, the anchor is heard saying, “Those children who fought, our hackers who fought. I am surprised.” Another journalist on the panel joins in, declaring, “You ruined them. You hacked 70% of the electricity system.” To this, the female anchor responds, “We did not know how advanced we are in technology.”

India’s PIB Slams Claim as ‘Fake and Misleading’

The claim didn’t sit well with the Indian government. The Press Information Bureau (PIB) quickly issued a fact check, dismissing the allegations entirely. PIB tweeted, “Social media posts are claiming that Pakistan’s cyber attack has affected India’s power network. This claim is false and misleading. India’s power infrastructure is safe and has not been affected.”
