A shocking case of alleged mental and physical harassment has emerged from Bengaluru, where a software engineer has accused his wife of extreme misconduct, leading to his job loss and severe emotional distress.
Husband Alleges Wife’s Unusual Demands
In his complaint to the police, the victim, identified as Srikanth, claimed that his wife had been mentally and physically tormenting him since their marriage in August 2022. He alleged that she demanded ₹5000 every time before engaging in physical intimacy. Additionally, he accused her of assaulting his private parts on multiple occasions, causing him significant mental agony.

Workplace Misconduct Led to Job Loss
Srikanth further stated that his wife’s actions extended to his professional life as well. While he was working from home, she allegedly disrupted his meetings by deliberately dancing in front of his boss and colleagues during video calls. These repeated disruptions ultimately resulted in his termination.
Demanded ₹45 Lakh for Divorce
Fed up with the alleged harassment, when Srikanth requested a divorce, his wife reportedly demanded ₹45 lakh in exchange for mutual separation. Moreover, he claimed that she threatened to commit suicide and hold him responsible if he tried to leave her forcibly.
This incident is part of a growing number of cases where husbands report suffering from emotional and physical abuse in their marriages. The police have registered a case and are conducting an investigation to verify the claims before proceeding with legal action.
