Comedian Samay Raina has been thrust into the limelight after a scathing remark by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia on his ‘India’s Got Latent’ show. The show created huge buzz, and several celebrities, including rapper Badshah, have rallied around Samay.
Badshah, who had been a guest on the show before, expressed solidarity with Samay during his performance at Parul University in Vadodara, Gujarat. At the conclusion of the performance, he spoke to the audience, stating, “I love you Parul University. Thanks a lot. Free Samay Raina.” This reference created an excited reaction from the crowd.
A clip of the moment spread quickly on social media, and one user posted the video and commented, “Ain’t no way Badshah said ‘Free Samay Raina’ at the end of the concert! LFG!!!”

Samay Raina, caught up with the situation going on, took to social media and released a statement clarifying that he couldn’t handle the things that had occurred. He expressed that he had deleted every India’s Got Latent video off his channel on YouTube and asserted, “Everything that’s happened has been too much for me to keep up with. I’ve removed all India’s Got Latent videos from my channel.”. My sole motive was to entertain and bring smiles to people’s faces. I will cooperate with all agencies fully so that their investigations are completed justly. Thank you.”
The controversy began after Ranveer Allahbadia made a controversial joke about ‘parental sex’ on India’s Got Latent. In the show, Ranveer asked a contestant, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever?” The same led to a police complaint against Ranveer, Samay, and other judges who featured on the episode, namely Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija.
