Social media influencer and actress Avneet Kaur has found herself in significant trouble after a jewellery brand accused her of ‘exploiting’ their products. The brand alleges that Kaur sourced jewellery from them and wore it without giving proper credit or compensating them.
The homegrown brand, ‘Rang’, recently released evidence to support their claims. They shared a detailed post on social media, including receipts and conversations with Kaur’s stylist, accusing her of violating their verbal agreement. According to the post, Kaur promised to credit the brand in her posts but failed to do so. Despite wearing the jewellery on multiple occasions and tagging high-end brands like Dior and Vivienne Westwood, Rang was left out.
The brand tried to resolve the issue by contacting Kaur’s stylist, to which Kaur reportedly responded, “Hey, I will pay them. How much is it?” However, Rang has claimed that Kaur has not only ignored their invoices but also refused to address the breach of their agreement.
In a statement, the jewellery brand’s owner shared, “As small brand owners, we pour our hearts into every piece and care deeply about our customers, the stylists we work with, and the celebrities who wear our jewellery. My hope is that by sharing this story, we can protect others from similar experiences. We need to support each other and stand against exploitation.”
