Former President Donald Trump sparked controversy this weekend by sharing a conspiracy theory on his Truth Social. Late Saturday evening, he reposted an assertion without providing any context or description. The original assertion, posted by one of his supporters, claimed that President Joe Biden had been “executed” in 2020 and was replaced by a clone.
The post stated: “There is no #JoeBiden – killed in 2020. #Biden clones doubles & robotic engineered soulless mindless creatures are what you see. Democrats don’t know the difference.” Trump’s promotion of the strange theory caught attention online.
This post came after Trump’s comments a day before, when he attacked Biden’s character. Talking about his political opponent, Trump said, “If you feel sorry for him, don’t feel sorry for him, because he’s vicious.” He further added, “[Biden’s] been a sort of moderate person over his lifetime. Not a smart person, but a somewhat vicious person, I will say. If you feel sorry for him, don’t feel so sorry, because he’s vicious.”. What he did to his political opponent and everybody he hurt—he hurt a lot of people, Biden, so I don’t feel sorry for him at all.
Meanwhile, President Joe Biden addressed the public following news of his prostate cancer diagnosis. After a Memorial Day event on Friday, he spoke to reporters, sharing that he had already started treatment. “The expectation is we’re gonna be able to beat this,” Biden said. “I’m feeling good.”
Biden was just diagnosed with a aggressive type of prostate cancer after complaining of urinary symptoms. A nodule was found by doctors, which resulted in the diagnosis. “While this is a more aggressive type of disease, the cancer does appear to be hormone-sensitive which makes it manageable,” said a statement from his office. “The President and his family are considering treatment options with his doctors.
In his initial public X message since the diagnosis, Biden shared a photo with First Lady Jill Biden and said: “Cancer touches us all. Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places. Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”
