It’s often said that art transcends boundaries, and a recent Instagram video perfectly exemplifies this idea. The video features an African woman surprising her Korean friend with a dance performance, set to the Indian song “Chaudhary” from Coke Studio India.
“I performed at my Korean friend’s wedding,” travel blogger Sarah Saeed, who is from Djibouti in East Africa, shared on Instagram. The video shows her dancing in a beautiful lehenga to the song, and she noted that it was filmed last year, in 2023.
“I met Haena at work, but over time she became a friend and a sister to me. When she told me she was getting married, I was absolutely thrilled. Performing at her wedding was a no-brainer. Why choose a Hindi song? Because it’s the only music that gives me the confidence to dance in front of so many people! I was IN. MY. ELEMENT!” she added.

The video has garnered over 180,000 views and nearly 5,200 likes, with many comments from viewers.
Instagram users reacted enthusiastically, with one commenter saying, “I love her confidence.” Another noted, “Confidence level 100%, I could never.” A third person mentioned, “Sometimes you don’t have to understand the language to vibe with it, great job,” while a fourth remarked, “As someone who speaks the language and as a former dancer, your expressions are perfection.”
The song “Chaudhary” is a folk-fusion track that blends Rajasthani folk with modern music. Composed by Amit Trivedi, it is sung in Hindi and Marwari and has been a fan favorite since its release over a decade ago.
