Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) chief Alok Kumar, in the wake of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir, declared the end of a 500-year curse with the reestablishment of Lord Ram’s reign. Speaking to ANI, Kumar expressed the emotional significance of the event, noting that tears witnessed during the ceremony symbolized the stories of the past.
He emphasized that the temple’s establishment is a transformative moment for Hindus, enabling them to practice their faith with confidence and without malice. Kumar envisions a forward-moving society that brings glory to the nation, emphasizing the positive intent behind the temple’s construction.
Addressing concerns about potential tensions, Kumar asserted that the Ram Janmabhoomi temple is not built to antagonize any community but is a temple of “love.” He described it as a resolution of the historic mistake of its demolition, urging everyone to work together.
Responding to Mamata Banerjee’s comments about Sita, Kumar clarified that the temple’s next phases will include representations of Sita and Ram, highlighting the unity of both figures in completing India. In reference to Rahul Gandhi’s situation in Assam, Kumar extended an open invitation for him to visit the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya, emphasizing that the era of arrogance is over.
As the Ram Janmabhoomi Mandir becomes a symbol of unity, Kumar envisions a harmonious and inclusive space where people can come together to celebrate their faith and heritage.
