Chennai: Veteran Actor Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai late Monday night, where he is scheduled to undergo a heart-related procedure on Tuesday, according to hospital sources. Rajinikanth, who has been actively working on two films—’Vettaiyan’, directed by Gnanavel Raja and set for release on October 10, and ‘Coolie’, by Lokesh Kanagaraj—had only recently returned to Chennai. The actor had undergone a kidney transplant in Singapore a decade ago and had stepped back from his anticipated political entry, citing health concerns.
