Legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra’s 2004 romantic blockbuster Veer-Zaara continues to uphold his legacy even after two decades. Starring Shah Rukh Khan and Preity Zinta in lead roles, the film has now surpassed ₹100 crore at the worldwide box office following its recent re-release.
Veer-Zaara re-release box office collection
According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, Veer-Zaara grossed ₹20 lakh on Friday (September 13), followed by ₹32 lakh on Saturday, ₹38 lakh on Sunday, ₹20 lakh on Monday, ₹18 lakh on Tuesday, ₹15 lakh on Wednesday, and ₹14 lakh on Thursday, bringing its domestic re-release earnings to ₹1.57 crore. Adding ₹0.23 crore from overseas markets, the film’s total from the September re-release stands at ₹1.80 crore. Additionally, the February re-release earned ₹0.30 crore.
During its initial release, *Veer-Zaara* collected ₹61 crore domestically and ₹37 crore overseas, reaching a total of ₹98 crore. Over the years, the film added another ₹2.50 crore, and with the recent re-release figures, its worldwide total now stands at ₹102.60 crore, surpassing the ₹100 crore mark. With National Cinema Day offering ₹99 tickets on September 20, box office collections are expected to rise further.
