In a daring and timely rescue operation, soldiers from the Army Camp #Villgam in North Kashmir’s #Kupwara District rescued a pregnant woman amidst the ongoing heavy snowfall in the Kashmir Valley. The operation, conducted on Saturday evening, demonstrated the valor and commitment of the soldiers to provide assistance in challenging weather conditions.
The distress call, received around 10:40 PM, was made by the Station House Officer (SHO) of #Vilgam and the lady’s husband. The urgent plea sought rescue and medical evacuation for the critical condition of the pregnant woman, emphasizing the pressing need for immediate assistance due to the heavy snowfall.
Undeterred by the adverse weather and challenging terrain, the soldiers from Army Camp #Villgam swiftly responded to the distress call. Negotiating the snow-covered route from Khanbal to PHC Villgam, the soldiers successfully reached the location and executed a seamless rescue operation.
The pregnant woman was safely evacuated and transported to the PHC Villgam, where she received necessary medical attention. The prompt and effective response of the Army soldiers showcased their dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of civilians, particularly in emergencies.
