Vaani aid, “Akshay sir is a superstar in every possible way. He can pull off action, comedy, romance, thriller, and be the best in everything. Akshay Kumar can ace any genre! He is so talented and experienced and one can only observe and learn from him all the time. For me, it was a sheer joy to share screen space with him and work with him at least once in my life. The experience has been so lovely. He couldn’t have been more kind and wonderful. He is is very friendly on sets. I usually go back to my hotel room and not interact too much as I like being in my own space but he ensured that we all sit together and have lunches/dinners and get to know each other and be very involved like a close-knit family. I cherish this a lot because we were like a family on ‘Bellbottom’.” —Correspondent

Kartik Aaryan has joined hands with filmmaker Ram Madhvani for an upcoming thriller titled ‘Dhamaka’. The film gives a bird’s eye view into the working of a news channel in the 21st century.

Kartik is excited to step into the thriller zone and play a journalist who covers the live broadcast of a terror attack in Mumbai. “This for me is a miracle script and had me on the edge of my seat all through the narration. I knew this would give me the opportunity to explore a different side of me as an actor,” he said. Kartik can’t wait to transport himself into Madhvani’s world and see his vision translate on the big screen. “This is also the first time I am collaborating with Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP and Ram Madhvani Films and I am looking forward to this journey,” he added. Madhvani said that as a director he is inclined towards human stories. “Though this one is a thriller on the outset, there lies a lot of emotion and drama in the screenplay that leads to the adrenaline rush. This film demanded a young actor with a certain amount of rawness in the space. Kartik, being one of the most talented actors in Bollywood, fits the bill,” he said.  It is all set to go on floors this December.
