CM Dhami inspects Uttarakhand Niwas

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inspected the progress of the construction at Uttarakhand Niwas in Delhi on Saturday, mentioning that the Niwas is scheduled to be inaugurated by July.

Speaking with ANI, Dhami said, “This is the national capital. People and officials keep coming from Uttarakhand… So, the current Uttarakhand Sadan has a very low capacity. Keeping that in mind, this new Niwas is being built. It has more than 50 rooms.”

He added, “Dormitories have also been made. There is a target to inaugurate this by July. And people can start using it.”

Focusing on good quality, Singh said, “The construction work doesn’t keep happening again and again and I believe that the quality should be good. Whatever things are being used–POP, tiles, and electronic appliances should be of good quality The work is going on and I hope the work complets fast.”

The Uttarakhand Chief Minister also used his official social media account to share updates about his inspection of Uttarakhand Niwas and directed the implementing agency to accelerate the construction progress.

“Inspected the under-construction building of “Uttarakhand Niwas” located in New Delhi. During this, instructed the implementing agency to speed up the construction work and complete the work on the stipulated time,” Singh said.

He added further, “On this occasion, I also met the workers and encouraged them. After the completion of the construction work, this building will present an excellent example of the architectural style of Uttarakhand in the national capital.”

He also mentioned that while inspecting, he instructed officials to conduct a survey and draft a proposal for the construction of state guest houses along the Chardham Yatra routes as needed.
