The death toll has risen to 10 while 21 were rescued from the rubble after the roof of a cold storage collapses in the Chandausi area of Sambhal in UP, officials informed. As per several reports, the teams of NDRF and SDRF are carrying out the search and rescue operations.
According to the statement given by Deputy Inspector General, Shalabh Mathur, approximately 3 people has severely injured in the incident. Meanwhile, DM Manish revealed that the officials are using sniffer dogs for the search and rescue operation in order to locate the trapped one’s.
In a statement, Manish revealed that, “”NDRF is searching for the trapped people with the help of sniffer dogs. We have increased our force for the morning. Other teams of NDRF and SDRF will also come by morning.”
He also revealed that a FIR has been registered against the owner. He stated that, “FIR registered against the owner and two others. We have detained four people for questioning. The main accused are absconding and are being searched. We will be able to tell the real reason for the collapse of this building only after the debris is removed.”
