Who Is Tiffany Fong? Crypto Whistleblower Who Reportedly Refused Elon Musk’s Baby Proposal

Cryptocurrency influencer Tiffany Fong found herself in the middle of a media storm when she was reported to have declined a personal proposal from Tesla CEO Elon Musk. In a fresh report by The Wall Street Journal, Musk allegedly reached out to Fong to ask her to carry his child as part of his endeavor to reverse world population decline by becoming the father of many children to “highly intelligent” women.

The billionaire, who began keeping tabs on Fong on X (formerly Twitter) last year, reportedly made the incendiary offer. Fong turned him down, reportedly informing her friends that she wanted a more old-fashioned style of family. Rumors continued to increase speculation when they stated that she was potentially pregnant with Musk’s baby. She debunked them, however, saying, “As far as I know, I am not pregnant.”

Who Is Tiffany Fong?

Born on March 19, 1994, in Las Vegas, Tiffany Fong graduated from the University of Southern California in 2016 with a degree in journalism and mass communication. She interned in different industries, including marketing, research, creative, and public relations, throughout her years in school.

Now, Fong calls herself a “reluctant crypto journalist.” Her X bio jokingly states, “I’m a potato. Sometimes I interview criminals.” She became famous in the cryptocurrency community after losing $200,000 in the now-defunct Celsius Network during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her viral YouTube video, “Celsius Network: I LOST $200,000,” made her famous.

Fong’s extensive coverage of the FTX collapse of 2022 further solidified her reputation. During Sam Bankman-Fried’s house arrest, Fong interviewed him many times. She received over 200 pages of confidential documents from him, along with notes about Caroline Ellison, his ex-girlfriend and main prosecution witness. Fong provided some parts of this material to The New York Times, which affected legal proceedings.

Musk’s Response and Consequences

The Wall Street Journal report on Musk’s plan to father additional children with smart women once again sparked interest in Fong. Following her refusal to accept Musk’s purported proposal, she reportedly became worried that her move might affect her earnings from X, a platform Musk currently owns. Shortly after that, the Tesla CEO dropped her from following on the platform.

Although Fong has not spoken publicly at length about the incident, the incident continues to generate debate online regarding Musk’s plans and how far personal and professional relationships should go in the public spotlight.
