The consulate also mentioned initial reports indicating that local security forces may be evacuating areas around Allama Iqbal International Airport due to the developing security environment.
US Embassy Sends Advisory to Citizens in Pakistan
In a statement, the US Embassy in Pakistan & Consulates recommended American citizens exercise caution and evaluate whether they should leave conflict areas: “US citizens who are present in a zone of ongoing conflict should depart if they can safely do so. If they cannot safely depart, they should shelter-in-place.”
The alert highlights the gravity of the threat perception within and around Lahore under increased military tensions in the region.
