Trump Orders Action to Combat Migrant Riots and Secure Los Angeles

US President Donald Trump has vowed to “liberate Los Angeles from the migrant invasion” after violent clashes erupted between the state National Guard and anti-immigration protesters. He took to Truth Social and declared that “the illegals will be expelled,” promising to “set the city free.” This comes after troops used tear gas and non-lethal weapons to disperse crowds in downtown LA.

Trump wrote, “A once great American City, Los Angeles, has been invaded and occupied by Illegal Aliens and Criminals.” Moreover, he continued, “Now violent, insurrectionist mobs are swarming and attacking our Federal Agents to try and stop our deportation operations. However, these lawless riots only strengthen our resolve.”

Trump Takes Swift Action

In response to the escalating situation, Trump took immediate action. He directed key officials to take charge. Specifically, he ordered Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, and Attorney General Pam Bondi to coordinate with other departments. Together, their mission is clear: to “liberate Los Angeles from the Migrant Invasion” and bring an end to the riots.

Trump confidently stated, “Order will be restored, the Illegals will be expelled, and Los Angeles will be set free.” Furthermore, he thanked the public, stating, “Thank you for your attention to this matter!”

Violence Escalates Over the Weekend

Meanwhile, tensions grew throughout the weekend as the unrest continued. The protests from the previous night spilled over into Sunday. Protesters burned vehicles and threw fireworks at officers, who were equipped with helmets and body armor.

The clashes escalated further outside the Metropolitan Detention Center in downtown LA. Protesters spray-painted buildings with anti-ICE and anti-LAPD slogans. As a result, the LAPD declared a “tactical alert” by Sunday afternoon to better handle the situation.

Police Respond and Make Arrests

Later that day, the LAPD declared an unlawful assembly, issued a dispersal order, and began making arrests. Despite these efforts, the violence persisted, and tensions remained high throughout the city.
