DJ Daniel, a 13-year-old cancer survivor, received a special honor from US President Donald Trump. The young boy has always dreamed of becoming a police officer. On March 4, during his address to Congress at the House Chamber, Trump recognized DJ and his inspiring journey.
A Young Boy with a Big Dream
First, Trump introduced DJ to the audience. “In the gallery tonight is a young man who truly loves our police,” he said. “His name is DJ Daniel. He is 13 years old, and he has always dreamed of becoming a police officer.”
Congrats, DJ!

President Trump just made his life by making him a Secret Service Agent.

Overcoming the Odds
Back in 2018, doctors diagnosed DJ with brain cancer. At that time, they gave him only five months to live. However, he fought hard and survived. “That was more than six years ago,” Trump said as the audience erupted in applause. Since then, DJ and his father have worked to make his dream a reality. In fact, several police departments have sworn him in as an honorary officer. “The police love him, the police departments love him,” Trump added.
A Life-Changing Honor
Finally, Trump gave DJ a surprise that left him speechless. “Tonight, DJ, we’re going to do you the biggest honor of them all: I am asking our new Secret Service Director, Sean Curran, to officially make you an agent of the United States Secret Service.”
Without a doubt, DJ’s journey proves that courage and determination can turn dreams into reality.
