The Trump administration is said to be considering a series of executive orders meant to speed up the building of nuclear power plants, the New York Times reported.
Using draft documents that it has seen, the newspaper stated the proposed actions are part of a wider effort to strengthen domestic energy infrastructure.
The decrees, should they be given, would facilitate regulatory actions and advance nuclear energy as an important part of American energy independence. No White House confirmation has yet been officially declared.
