Telangana Hosts 11-Day ‘Yagam’ Ritual Praying For Kamala Harris Success In US Elections | Watch

To be faced by Vice President Kamala Harris in the US Presidential elections, a 11-day grand ‘havan’ commenced in Bhadradri Kothagudem of Telangana. H Convention, Palvancha, is witnessing ‘Sri Raja Shyamalamba Sahita Shata Chandi Purvaka Sudarshana Maha Yagam’, an event organised by Shyamala Gopalan Foundation. During the ritual, which began with many Vedic and Chaturveda pundits, several people visited the ceremonial event on the tenth day.

Founder of Shyamala Gopalan Educational Foundation, Nalla Suresh Reddy said that Harris has gained more supporters since the start of yagam. “Whatever will happen, will happen by the grace of God. Today is the 10th day of the yagya. We saw that due to the ritual, Harris’s support base increased. We want Harris to win,” Reddy told ANI.

On the 11th and final day, ‘Purnahuti’ would be the culmination of this ritual, in which around 40 Vedic pandits will conduct the rites and some 7,000 people would attend. “Daily meals are being offered to 500-1,000 people during the yagya. India is largely regarded as a Hindu nation. Keeping our faith in the religion, we believe Harris would emerge victorious,” he added.

Kamala Harris, of Indian-Jamaican descent, was born in Oakland, California. She graduated from Howard University in Washington. When President Joe Biden, citing health, withdrew his candidacy, Harris became the Democratic Party’s nominee. She would be the first woman president in US history if elected; she would be the first Black woman and the first Asian American. On November 5, the US Presidential elections will take place, with Harris facing former President Donald Trump, who seeks a return to the White House.
