Greenville, South Carolina – A peaceful evening was shattered on Friday when gunfire broke out at Belle Meade Apartments, located at 25 Fleetwood Drive, around 5:30 PM local time, according to the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded quickly to emergency calls reporting a shooting incident. Upon arrival, several individuals were found with gunshot wounds. Emergency responders rushed the victims to nearby hospitals. Their conditions have not been publicly released yet.
As of now, no suspects have been taken into custody, and law enforcement has not released any suspect descriptions. Deputies have cordoned off the area as investigations continue.
The Sheriff’s Office urged anyone with information about the incident to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.

Residents of Belle Meade Apartments and nearby areas remain on edge, with many expressing concern over the growing number of violent incidents in the community.
“It was terrifying. We heard multiple shots, then saw flashing lights everywhere,” one resident told local media.
