Melania Trump Wants “Separate Bedroom” In The White House?: Reports

Melania Trump “can’t stand” her husband, US President-elect Donald Trump, and has reportedly requested a “separate bedroom” in the White House, according to a recent report.

Melania is set to return as First Lady of the United States after Trump’s victory over Kamala Harris, the outgoing Vice President, in the November 5 presidential election.

An “insider” revealed that Melania’s preference for her own bedroom is not “new information.” The source explained, “It was no secret that Donald stayed in the White House master suite, while she occupied a two-room suite on the third floor during their first go-round there. They will now basically go back along those very same lines – if not in the very same rooms.”

A Trump spokesperson, however, dismissed the claim, which was first reported by RadarOnline.

It has also been reported that Melania, who was born in Slovenia and became an American citizen in July 2006, plans to split her time between New York City and Palm Beach, Florida.

Barron, the 18-year-old son of Melania and Donald Trump, is currently studying at New York University (NYU). Meanwhile, Palm Beach is home to Mar-a-Lago, Trump’s grand estate and primary residence.

According to CNN, Melania’s decision to base herself primarily in Florida during Trump’s second term—set to begin with his inauguration on January 20—is partly “influenced” by her close circle of friends in the state. While she is not expected to reside in the White House full-time, she will likely attend official events as needed.

The Trumps will mark their 20th wedding anniversary on January 22.
