Melania Trump Unveils AI-Narrated Audiobook in Her Own Voice

Melania Trump recently warned the public about the dangers of AI-generated deepfakes. Now, she has released a new audiobook narrated by an artificial intelligence version of her own voice.

The former First Lady announced the project on Thursday through a social media post. The audiobook, titled Melania – The AI Audiobook, lasts seven hours and costs $25.

In a short black-and-white video, a voice in her well-known Slovenian accent says, “My story, my perspective, the truth.”
The video also features computer-generated images of her face. However, it’s not clear whether the voice belongs to Melania herself or the AI version.

Following the narration, she wrote in the same post, “I am honored to bring you Melania – The AI Audiobook – narrated entirely using artificial intelligence in my own voice. Let the future of publishing begin.”

AI Voice Created Under Her Supervision

According to the audiobook’s website, developers created the AI voice under Melania’s direct guidance and supervision. Moreover, the site states that foreign language versions will be available later this year.

She Released a Premium Memoir Earlier

Previously, in October, Melania launched a printed version of her memoir. She offered a signed collector’s edition, printed on high-end art paper, for $150. The launch received significant attention.

She Also Supported a New Anti-Deepfake Law

Interestingly, just days before the audiobook’s release, Melania stood with her husband as he signed a new law. The law criminalizes posting revenge porn, including fake content made using AI. In fact, she had strongly backed the “Take It Down Act” in March. That event marked her first solo appearance since Donald Trump returned to the spotlight. She spoke out against harmful online content, including deepfakes.

Melania Remains Private but Pursues Lucrative Projects

Although she spends little time in Washington since Donald Trump returned to office on January 20, Melania remains active behind the scenes. She has taken on selective projects that help shape her image and also generate income.

In addition to the audiobook, she is working on a documentary series with Amazon. Reports say the deal is worth tens of millions of dollars.
