Meghan Markle has contacted singer Billie Eilish to secure signed merchandise for a teenage wildfire victim in California. In a video shared on Tuesday, the Duchess of Sussex, 43, showcased the exclusive items she obtained for a 15-year-old girl whose home was destroyed in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

Prince Harry, 40, and his wife Markle visited the city of Altadena, which has been severely destroyed by the fire in January. There, the couple met with a mother-daughter duo, who were headed back to the burned-down residence. The girl had lost an irreplaceable Billie Eilish concert t-shirt from the fire and Markle promptly took action.

Determined to lend a hand, Markle enlisted the help of her A-list contacts, like Adam Levine and his wife Behati Prinsloo, in getting her appeal to Eilish. All this led to a haul of signed memorabilia, including T-shirts and lunchbox, all of which were eagerly displayed on Markle’s video.

She thanked donors on her post, which was hosted by support for wildfire victims and first responders. She also pointed out that the couple remains devoted, committed to raising help for relief efforts, including donating to the Altadena Girls Fire Recovery Fund, they have donated through their Archewell Foundation.

Despite all the charitable actions, Markle and Harry came under fire, with actress Justine Bateman calling the couple “disaster tourists.” A source later defended them, saying Markle’s deep connection to Los Angeles and her genuine concern for those affected.

Markle’s video follows her appearance at Kerry Washington’s birthday party and comes amid the postponement of her Netflix show to March 4. The couple continues to navigate public scrutiny while engaging in philanthropic work.
